Guidance on Discovering Services with APIs and Hybrid Components in ServiceNow

Hello team,

I am working on a requirement to discover a business service that consists of multiple components. While I am able to discover processes on specific CIs, I am unsure how to handle cases where those CIs connect further to APIs.

I would appreciate guidance on the following points:

1. API Discovery in ServiceNow – Is there a recommended way to discover APIs and also capture the downstream connections they establish?

2. Splunk APM Integration – We are deploying the Splunk APM agent on cloud web apps and function apps. Has anyone successfully integrated Splunk APM data with ServiceNow?

3. Hybrid Service Maps – If the service map is hybrid (some components are discoverable, while others such as APIs or batch jobs are not), what best‑practice approach should be taken to represent and manage such services?

Any quick suggestions or best practices would be greatly appreciated.
