Activate your Discovery plugins and install the MID server.
Once you start the discovery it will detect the AIX server using probes and port probes sensors.
Please find the following ports used by discovery for AIX server.
Discover Port probe for unix classification it will detect the AIX system if ports are open on AIX server or if detect that AIX system IP address.
Discovery works as:
- Port Scanning phase – In this it will scan the port.
- Identification – identify the AIX system.
- Classification
- Exploration
In Discovery status you find your Configuration Item for AIX server. But discovery should complete successfully in discovery status.
You can verify logs/Devices/Port in/out details into ECC Queue.
Once Detect the CI for AIX system details later you can manipulate and customize for event notification.
