How do we determine the number of Discovery licenses required for On-premise Discovery and for Azure cloud discovery to recommend to a client?

Hi Lakshmi,
1. License management is varies from customer to customer, some of them purchase only discovery licenses and some clients will buy ITOM Suit.
2. if a Client purchase licenses enabled ITOM Suit [Discovery & Event management plugins] so ServiceNow consider Licenses which ever is higher node count (Discovery / EM).
How to calculate licenses?
ServiceNow calculate node licenses from “usageanalytics_count” table. so Search for usageanalytics_count.LIST on left navigation.
1. Apply filter on definition id = DEF1000115 [ this ID is for Discovery nodes count]
2. Apply filter on definition id = DEF1000210 [ this ID is for Event Management nodes count]
