How do you bind URLS from events to http(s) endpoints created from service maps? There seem to be multiple duplicates of each URL that is also an entry point for the service map. Should we have the IRE setup for this table?

All of our critical web applications are service mapped. The entry points are URLs that are monitored by SCOM. It seems the events can't bind because in most cases there are multiple entries in the "url" field in the httphost names in the cmdb_ci_endpoint_http table. There is one for the mid server and one for every person who kicked off discovery of the map. Is it recommended to setup the IRE on this table or are there other methods to ensure this table only has unique entries?
Thanks in advance

Hi Stacey,
Usually customers will bind URL checks/synthetic transaction type of events directly to the Application Service itself. Is that an option?
Thanks,

Yes, I can do that. Thank you! How would you do the binding rules? If I use CI Field Matching on the CI Type of application service, I am not sure how to make that work?

does the URL contain any part of the application name? Thats what we would parse out and then yes use Field Matching to bind off the Application Service table.
