In Service Now UI, Can we assign manager for a user? Or will it only get the manager information through LDAP only?

Is the manager present as a user in ServiceNow? IF yes, you can assign a manager to the user by navigating to user administration>users and selecting a user as a manager in the manager reference field.

Thanks Sidarth. I don't see this field as the role I logged in is not manager. Understood.
PS: I have another question unanswered for last 10days. Can you please check whether you can answer it?
Syntax for reading parameter passed to Map page
Thanks

If not present on the form you can add it from the slush bucket.
Right click on the header of the form and go to configure>form layout then add the manager from the available list to the selected list. Hope it helps you.
P.S. You need to have appropriate permissions to do this e.g. System Admin

Oh! That was a cool trick. I can see the field now, after doing this.
Thanks
