Hello ITOM Experts,
How do we discover the applications which are in Saas (NOT Azure NOT AWS for them we need cloud credentials as per standard implementation). They are SSO integrated within our environment but are Saas products.
DO ServiceNow ITOM discovers them since they are SSO integrated already ?
We have ITOM , SAM pro.
What setup we need for the same?

Hi,
These would not be discoverable as we do not care about the infrastructure. These SaaS platforms would be represented as business applications and service instances to reflect their use. Both being manual data, or imported from another tool such as a enterprise architecture platform (LeanIX)

Does it mean that this can be implemented as in 'Service Mapping' considering them as -Service Instances
So is there any feasibility by any Spoke if available or not at all Just want to know so that we can decide the way to go ahead . Example : SNOW (inventory tool ) does that don't know how .
Thanks

You can't discover these as your client doesn't have access to the infrastructure. Tools like SNOW do this by leveraging an extension within the browser to track websites employees are visiting, and correlating that against SaaS platforms they have recorded. This aids in companies understanding where a SaaS tool might be in use, but hasn't been authorised.
Your query falls back to enterprise architecture. Who is maintaining a view of the technologies that have been procured? Who is accountable for the technology landscape within the organisation? Where is this being documented?
