How to discover SD-WAN edge devices in ServiceNow

Hi,

I am trying to get SD-WAN edge devices discovered in ServiceNow, and wanted to check what approach others are using.

 

Is there out-of-box support for SD-WAN edges in standard ITOM Discovery, or does this always require a custom pattern/classifier? I have seen mixed answers in older threads, some say plain SNMP + a custom pattern works, others say vendor-specific controllers, need to be queried via API instead of polling the edge directly.

 

Any guidance from your implementations would be greatly appreciated.
