Hi everyone,
I’m trying to understand the best way to reboot an AWS Work Space through ServiceNow. I have some knowledge that the AWS Service Management Connector is used to integrate AWS services with ServiceNow.
However, I’m a bit unclear on the exact requirements and steps involved. Specifically, I’d like to know:
- Do I only need to use an AWS Systems Manager Automation Runbook (for example, one that reboots the Work Space) and execute it directly from ServiceNow?
- Or, do I need to create a Service Catalog item in AWS Service Catalog for rebooting a Work Space, then connect that catalog item with ServiceNow and order it from there?
In short, I’m trying to determine the right approach — whether executing a runbook directly through the connector is enough, or if a separate Service Catalog setup is required for this type of action.
Any guidance or best practices would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
