How to set up 'Process Detection' step before pattern execution in Horizontal Discovery?

Hi colleaguaes!

I checked Horizontal Discovery log and found there 'Process Detection' stage, where WMI queries were executed.

As i see, after 'Process Detection' stage a pattern ( for example, 'MSSql DB On Windows') started.

How i can check/edit 'Process Detection' stage? In which entity it is in SN?

Hey,

Could you explain the context of what you are trying to do?

Within the horizontal discovery application patterns are triggered based off of process classifications. The Process detection is in place to find the process that the application pattern should run against. Usually this step is nothing you need to "edit" as it simply picks the right process which to run the pattern against.

If you want to run a pattern to discover applications, you first need to create a process classifier to trigger it.

i see what ur saying- Process Detection is just a phrase used in Discovery Logs.

Host Discovery ---> Process Found (Like SQL Server/Jboss/SAP Hana/Mongo etc ) ---> Application Pattern will be trigerred.

Hope i understood what you are looking for.

I have a related question:  Where is the code that does the "Process Detection" section at top of pattern log?

I checked in "Pre Post Processing", but did not see.
