Hi All,
We have many WAP devices in our CMDB and the location seems to be empty as its getting discovered through IP Switch. We wanted to populate the location based on the IP address of the WAP devices and not from the Switch location. We have Discovery Schedules & Discovery range sets based on Location and i would like to know if there is a way we can match the IP address of the WAP devices with the IP Subnets in the Discovery Range sets table and update the location of WAP with the Location of Discovery Schedules its being used. Please help with the script. Thanks.

@Suvetha S In this case all locations are stored in [cmdb_ci_wap_network] table in field "snmp_sys_location" as OOTB, if the value is provided on the WAP itself 😉
You can check it by:
1. Open Pattern "Network switch" and then its extension Cisco WAPs.
2. locate first step: Query bsnAPTable
You should see bsnAPEntry -> bsnAPLocation
3. check step 3. Populate cmdb_ci_wap_network Fields: bsnAPLocation is assigned to field snmp_sys_location.
