Generally, and based on your experience, to increase the speed of discovery scans, do you get more bang-for-the-buck from increasing the CPU/RAM of existing MID servers or by adding additional MID servers?
For this scenario, let's say the current MID servers are 2 CPUs with 4 GB RAM and the configuration of the MID server software/service must remain the default of Geneva (meaning Java heap size of 1024 MB, 25 threads,etc).
If it was you, would you take the CPUs to 4 and RAM to 8, or add additional MID servers?

In general, if you're not adjusting the Java parameters, you'll get better performance with multiple MID servers.
