Hello,
1. Is IP Discovery of CIs in GCP/AWS using a MID server in Azure possible?
2. If yes, are there any specific prerequisites for this scenario?
3. Is there any challenges/security concerns?

Hi @Suggy , Yes it is possible. If your mid-server is able to reach target host, you can discover it.

yes can be done. You need to place the mid server in the cloud and can do ip based or cloud based discovery with it. Servicenow docs cover this pretty good.

@Pratiksha So discovering CIs in GCP/AWS using IP based method from a MID server installed in AWS is covered in docs? Can you share the link?

Yes, you can think of it is as normal discovery.
When we do on-prem discovery, you will have on premise infrastructure. The mid server will be on prem and discover anything which is reachable and configured.
Cloud based - horizontal discovery is same. Here you will put the mid server in datacenter (where the resources are) And discover those which are reachable and configured.
Difference between them is one is in customer premises, other one in cloud. Go to discovery basics in now learning first.

Pratiksha
