Ip switches and discovered relationships to servers.

We are discovering IP Switches but not seeing acquired relationships to servers. Have reviewed all settings in Discovery Properties and Configuration Console and all appear to be correct. Any ideas?

Hi - I'd setup a test discovery of a Switch & Server that you know for certain are connected to each other.  Then do a quick discover of the Switch, followed by Quick Discovery of the Server.  If access cred's are truly allowing disco to scan both objects, each should be reflected in CMDB with details -- and the relationship between the 2 should be there automatically (assuming both were scanned).

Lastly, review docs for switch disco and ensure somebody hasn't tweaked some of the settings / system properties that might otherwise prevent the relations from being articulated in CMDB

thanks Dave and Doug, I have reviewed docs again and I do not see a missing setting. Can you tell me specifically where to look in Config console or elsewhere to allow these relationships to be discovered? I have insured setting in Discovery def/properties and Configuration console are set per requirements. thank you
