ITOM Discovery asset retirement

Hey peeps, we have ITOM Discovery set up discovering assets in our public cloud accounts and are looking to stop discovering & retire (in S-Now) some servers to save on SUs, can someone point me to the docs on how to do this to ensure these assets stop consuming licenses & are not discovered again?

The way I understand is we can add global subnet exclusions, that will stop these machines from being discovered in the future, do we then just mark the State as Terminated and the Install status as Retired from the CMDB CI Class Manager?

Also if we want to discover these machines again in the future what would the process be to get them back into our CMDB and tracked by ITOM Discovery?
Thanks in advance!

Go to IRE, click on identification rule, and create one inclusion rule like this.

Hope this helps

Thanks @Pratiksha , if we set this rule then go mark VMs on the cmdb_ci_vm_instance_list table via CI class manager as State: Terminated and Install Status: Retired will that free up SUs in ITOM?

Yes, they count it based on actively discovered item. If they are retired that means the VM is no longer present.  It will not discovered next time. The job runs every day and the SKU on subscription get updated accordingly.
