We have been seeing an issue where Linux devices that are using the Linux distro Rocky all get classified as a generic "GNU/Linux" operating system, we assume this is because Rocky does not exist as an option within the 'Linux - Distribution' pattern. We have upgraded the pattern plugin to the latest version available at the time of writing this (ver 1.12.0) and the Rocky OS is still not in the out of the box patterns. Has anyone else dealt with this issue and if so, how did you deal with it? Can you just modify the OOTB patterns without risk that future updates to the patterns would not be correctly applied or that future updates would override the changes that we made?
