Hi all,
we are doing a PoC for load balancer discovery.
here is the response we got from our server team when we asked for a target device.
"The datacenter nginx clusters are linux boxes that run a service.
Azure nginx loadbalancers are PaaS objects that can be scanned by anyone with azure read perms."
I wanted to check:
- For Azure nginx loadbalancers, is service graph the right method to discover or should we use the servicenow discovery method using MID servers in Azure or should we use some other way?
- For datacenter nginx clusters discovery, would that we be through SSH or SNMP?
- I believe SSH protocol is blocked company wide, and we need to log into this tool called BeyondTrust to perform SSH. I am assuming ServiceNow is not capable of using BeyondTrust to run SSH for Linux discovery or Network Device items. For this load balancer use case, if SSH is not possible, are we hitting a roadblock or should we use agent-based discovery here?
Thanks,
Ravish
