MID Server Status not going to up

At the end of Module 2, in the task ‘Validate the MID server’, the server status is stuck on ‘Down’.
I am not authorised to restart the server.
How can I change the server status from Down to Up?

MID Server details would be something like below in course content

If hostname is not reachable via mstsc, go to command prompt and do nslookup

From your laptop, take a remote connection. Go to run -> mstsc and enter IP address details and credentials. Check MID Server is running, if not start the service or configure as per steps provided

If this is not working, terminate lab instance and request new instance and carry out lab tasks

Note - 

Since you do not have the necessary permissions to restart the MID Server:

  • Provide Logs: Share the relevant log entries with your system administrators to assist in troubleshooting.

  • Request Assistance: Ask them to investigate the issue and restart the MID Server if necessary.

Login to the windows virtual machine and try to restart the service.

@WilfridD Go to Mid-server list in Servicenow and click on 'Restart MID' related link.

This usually does the restart. If not, raise a case.
