Hello Everyone.

Mid server are getting down frequently in our instance but as soon as we login to the server in which mid server is hosted, status will be up in some time.

In the agent log we could see the below error-

RemoteGlideRecord failed to send data to <service-now URL> with (org.apache.commons.httpclient.HttpException: Session contains no certificates - Untrusted)

getRecords failed (org.apache.commons.httpclient.HttpException: Session contains no certificates - Untrusted)

But the moment you logged into MID server machine ,MID severs status changes to up without restarting anything and the logs starts showing (MIDRemoteGlideRecord.query succeeded)

Is there anyone who could tell us what could be the cause for this and help?

Thanks!

Hi Raj,

I don't have access to HI. Is there a way you can share the info here.

Thanks!

Also keep in mind that the term "down" for MID Servers doesn't always mean the service or the host is rebooting/restarting. It just means that the scheduled "heartbeat probe" that runs every 5 minutes was not able to communicate/respond within it's set time frame.

Looks like certificate issue. Login to mid server and on browser open the instance. You need to check under URL for certificate chain. Confirm in the certificate chain and make sure it is not expired. If it is expired then you might need to add it back.

https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/washingtondc-servicenow-platform/page/product/mid-server/task/add...

You can also try to rekey the mid server first.

1)Stop the mid serve.

2)jnvalidate it from the related link

3)start the mid server and validate again.

If this does not work then check the certificate on the mid server.
