OCI Discovery Prerequisite

Hi All,

For Oracle Cloud Infra discovery I want to understand the pre-requisites

1.  Do we need a mid-server if yes, where exactly it should be located in OCI and what are the permissions should be enabled to communicate with the OCI resources?

Hi Abbyb.
Mid server is needed to connect to Oracle Cloud. Location will depend on what you want to collect. If wants IaaS/PaaS, Mid Server can be located in the customer environment (on premise), with internet connection to OCI.

 

If want end-to-end visibility (IP Based Discovery), need MID Server in VCN.
