Hi Team,
I am working on Oracle Database Discovery on the Linux server:
The Linux server is discovered successfully through SSH and the Linux Server pattern completes successfully. However, the Oracle Database pattern is not getting triggered and we do not see the Oracle Instance being discovered.
During Discovery, we are seeing the following warnings:
Could not chdir to home directory /home/Service_Account_Name
No such file or directory
Also
Sorry, user ********** is not allowed to execute
'/bin/lsof -iTCP -n -P -F pcnfT'
as root on Server_name.
Exit status: 1
We have already configured an Oracle applicative credential for:
Oracle Instance [cmdb_ci_db_ora_instance]
However, we do not see any evidence that the Oracle applicative credential is being attempted.
Could anyone please confirm:
- Could the lsof permission error prevent Oracle identification and stop the Oracle Database pattern from being triggered?
- What minimum Linux/sudo permissions are required for Oracle Database Discovery?
- Is the missing home directory warning relevant to this issue?
- What should we check to confirm why the Oracle Database pattern is not getting triggered?
