Password Reset Enrollment Options

Hello All,

I am trying to setup Password reset verification options of either SMS verification or QA verification. I have setup groups, one for SMS and one for QA verification. My test users are assigned then assigned a group. The enrollment process then brings up both verification options. It expects both options to filled out. I was expecting SMS or QA enrollment to appear based on user group but that is not the case. Is there a way around this?

Ideally I would like to provide both enrollment options and let the user decide SMS or QA but that does not seem possible.

Also has anyone setup their own verification process. We would like to provide alternate email as an option. I have looked at developing one but it seems very complicated.

Interesting. Is MEM somehow inheriting membership in the PWD - SMS Verification Required group? Based on your described settings, MEM should only get the QA enrollment.


Check MEM's user record and view the Groups related list to verify.

Hey Ben, I checked user MEM and he is only a member of the PWD - SMS Verification Required group. I added another user ACB to this same group. Then I tested with ACB and brought up the enrollment form and BOTH verifications appear. It looks like the enrollment form does not look at the user's group. Interesting situation. I have tried to follow the enrollment include code to see if I could find an issue. Kind of over my head. I added related lists to user form for Password Reset Enrollment for Verifications list which is empty for user ACB. User related list Password Reset Enrollment Snapshots show enrollment status of inactive for SMS verification and QA verification. Trying to figure out what these lists mean. Jim

I'm not sure what might be happening, then. It sounds like things are configured properly, so you may need to open an Incident with support. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Hello Ben, I refreshed our test system and did the setups again. It works.


So to recap:


- Setup an SMS verification process and QA verification process. Each process has a group assigned with selected users.


- A user from each group was able to enroll.


- Enrollment form shows only the verification based on group user is in.


I must have messed up my Development environment. Sometimes it pays to refresh and start over.
