Query related to service mapping in ITOM

Hi Folks,

Please someone help me on service mapping, we want to pull application(web applications) which is located on Azure Virtual machine and its attribute ( applications column name such as application Name, Server name, Software used and it's version (Example: VB.NET version 4.0, Telerik 3.0, ABCpdf 9.0, etc), SQL servers used.

) .Which service mapping approches*( pattern & traffic  based, tag based) is best for above requirement .Please help me on this.

Application is Hosted in Public Cloud (AZURE) - Cloud resources Contains TAGS. You can quickly do your Service Mapping Using TAGS. So in my view you can start with TAG Bases Discovery assuming your AZURE Public cloud Resources are  Discovered using CLOUD Discovery. This will not need any new Credentials to run ur service mapping.
