Random WMI error "No such interface supported" getting Windows Server's Serial Number.

Hi,

This is a very though one to reproduce, so I'm not sure opening a case will be worth.
I'm getting random errors getting Windows Server's serial Numbers which is causing duplicate CIs.
For example, when running the Horizontal Discovery pattern step "Serial number from Win32_BIOS"  (from"Windows OS - Server" pattern) the discovery log shows error "No such interface supported".

Then trying to run the same step on a debug session and I got "Invalid namespace" error running the step the first time. Trying to re-run the exact same step after a few seconds worked fine.

What could cause the WMI query to randomly fail?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, it's a domain ID with Local Admin rights on the target box.

So funny story I can't remember what version this was in whether it was Orlando or also New York but there was a bug whereby when discovery tries to run a command it actually would bug out and run a previous command. I'm wondering if this is what you are seeing? In my case when I tried to do a netstat command in a pattern it would actually try to read a file. I would open a HI ticket as it could be something similar to this issue.

I may ended-up doing that, but I'd like to try something else before because reproducing the issue could be time-consuming.
