HI,
I have a requirement to not update few attributes like modelID, manufacturer, chassis type etc when the discovery source is SG-SCCM or SG-Intune, I have created a re-con rule but that is not working.. we don't have any other re-con rule written on the CI tables. Can someone please help!!
Discovery source : SG_SCCM or SG-Intune
Attributes : modelID, asset tag, chassis type
condition : model id is empty
Regards.

Hi Manasa,
Reconciliation Rules work on an allow basis per rule, with denials being based on overriding rules for different data sources.
As per the documentation, you need to specify what attributes SG_SCCM CAN update

Hi Manasa,
Do you have MultiSource CMDB enabled? (https://docs.servicenow.com/en-US/bundle/sandiego-servicenow-platform/page/product/configuration-management/concept/multisource-cmdb.html)
If not, it's well worth looking at enabling, as it will add the ability to preview changes that you make to the reconciliation rules, which should make it easier to troubleshoot (assuming that you don't already have it enabled).
Regards,
David
