Restoration of a previous version of a service map

Hello, is it possible to revert a service map of a mapped application service to a previous state? In my case, the entire service map was deleted except for the entry point. I would like to restore the state where the complete infrastructure was visible. Thank you very much for your help!

@mariokoehle  What type of Service mapping it was? was it tag-based? or Top-down discovery?

If tag-based, you can easily map it again by clicking on 'recalculate candidates'.

If tag-based discovery, try to re-discovery. that will map it again.

Service maps are built from the CMDB data. So it looks like some CIs and/or relationship records were deleted.  I would start with checking the CIs. If they are in place, checking cmdb_rel_ci would be the next step.  In some cases you can undelete records (System Definition -> Deleted Records). The following KB article may be helpful: KB1262470 How to recover deleted data from ServiceNow instance (see 'Deleted records module' section).

P.S. This may work for manual service mapping, if you have an automated process (top-down or tag-based), @Mannapuram's approach would be better.
