Service Mapping errors

Dear experts!

While doing the service mapping of an application, am getting the below error message. Can anyone help on this.?

 

DNS lookup failed for host XXX Check that the host is accessible by the correct MidServer.

Hi @AthulyaS 

 

It seems MID server is not able to connect to the host.

Refer: KB0597538 How to resolve communication issues between MID Server and the instance 

 

  • Ensure you have selected the correct MID Server that actually has network access to scan the infrastructure in that specific location
  • Log in to the MID Server and run the nslookup command with Host ip , check whether you are getting response
  • Ensure the target host falls within the IP address range configured for the MID Server in your ServiceNow instance
