Hi there,
We have been looking at the ServicePortfolio management plugin with a view to getting availability reports for service offerings using outage records set up on incidents and have some question.
1. It sesm that availability is calculated using outgaes linked to the service offering; can you roll up outgaes form individual cIS to the relevant service offering:
2. Do the entries shown by the module called Availability happen in real time? By that I mean if you add an outage record for a Service Offering should the releavnt entries here reflect it immediately or is doen periodically?
3. Can anyone explain how all these elements fit together?
Thanks in advance for any help, Ruth

ServiceNow — Service Level Management
Availability SLAs
December 2, 2015
The following steps generically outline the set up process
for Availability Service Level Agreements, including Roll-up Services
(bundles).
- Create the Business Service:
2. Add the Service Offering:
3. Add the Service Commitment:
If the schedule you want to apply already exists, search for
it and pull it into the schedule field on the Service Commitment. If it does not yet exist, proceed to step 4.
4. Add the Schedule:
5. Add the Schedule entries:
6. If at Step 3, you did not add the schedule to
the Service Commitment because you had to create one in steps 4 and 5, then
return to the service commitment and populate the schedule you just created on
the service commitment record.
7. If you want to bundle several service offerings
into a parent service offering (roll up), once the individual (child) service
offerings have been created, add the Parent service offering:
Populate the services in the "Parents" field that you want
to include in the rollup. The system
will automatically include any outages for these services into the overall
roll-up availability calculation.

Hi
Nice walkthrough, just a question about the parents field, is that a custom field or are you using the parent field from service_offering, which is a reference to cmdb_ci_service?
Thanks

Hi Jean,
Thank you for the screen prints and instructions. We are currently using Geneva, and on the form to create a Service Offering, I have a Parent field, not a Parent(s) field and am limited to entering only one Parent.
Is there some other setting that needs to be set up to be able to add multiple Parents?
Thank You again,
James
