Unable to Export Detailed Discovery Errors from Discovery Admin Workspace for Bulk Analysis

Hi Experts,

We are currently using the Discovery Admin Workspace in ServiceNow and facing challenges when trying to analyze Discovery errors in bulk.

Challenges:

  • The workspace does not allow us to export detailed error information in a usable format.
  • Key fields such as IP address, error messages, and discovery status details are not easily exportable together.
  • Even using SN Utils, we are not able to extract the data as expected (especially from workspace views or related records).

Because of these limitations, we are unable to:

  • Perform bulk analysis of discovery failures
  • Identify patterns across multiple failed IPs
  • Run quick re-discovery for a set of affected IPs

What we are looking for:

  1. Is there any way within Discovery Admin Workspace to export detailed error data (including IP and error descriptions)?
  2. Are there alternative tables or data sources (e.g., discovery_status, ECC Queue, logs) that can be used to extract this data effectively?
  3. Has anyone implemented a custom report, script, or export solution to enable bulk error analysis and re-discovery?
  4. Is this a known limitation? If yes, are there any recommended workarounds or best practices?
  5. Any tips on making SN Utils work with Discovery Workspace data (or why it might not work in this case)?
