I need to change the password on the ServiceNow account that our MID Server uses, but am unsure if simply updating the password on the account and then on the MIDServer /agent/config.xml file is all that needs to be done.
Are the MID Server Configuration Parameters anything that I need to be worried about, or are those populated by the MIDServer itself when checking in?
Any guidance is appreciated.

Sounds like you have it down. Check here for the steps to redo the password in the config.xml file. The key is that you need to change the encrypted password back to normal and on restart of the MID Server it will update the config.xml once again for you.

Hi Jake,
I am also trying to update the Mid Server Password. I updated the mid server user password and then updated the config.xml password. However i can only view the xml in word pad, when i try and open it in xml its blank.
When i try and restart the mid server it wont restart.
any ideas would be helpful!
