Upgrade "CMDB CI Class Models"

  Hello,

I would like to install the application "Service Graph Connector for SolarWinds" on our dev instance to test and validate the integration of Solarwinds with ServiceNow.

One of the requirement is to have the application "CMDB CI Class Models" at the minimum version 1.16. we have currently the version 1.10 installed and I can't find a way or a doc explaining how to upgrade it to at least the version 1.16. Do you have a documentation or instructions that we could follow to perform this action? The instance is at the level Paris Patch 4a.

Hi,

 

So it seems that you can only update to the latest version of a product. Therefore, I have updated my instance to Paris patch 6 ( CMDB CI Class Models v1.21 requires at least Paris Patch 5) and I was able to install the application Service Graph Connector for SolarWinds which updated CMDB CI Class Models to the lastest version in the process.

Hi,

You can upgrade that plugin or Application by navigating to "System Applications --> All Available Applications --> All" in your search navigator. This lists all the Applications installed in your instance.Here search for "CMDB CI Class Models" and you can see version installed and option to update the application. You can select the version you are looking for and update it.

Current version for CMDB CI Class Models is 1.21.0 https://store.servicenow.com/sn_appstore_store.do#!/store/application/ae99d84b2320330006c0110d96bf65b3/1.21.0

Thank you very much for your reply. Unfortunately I only see an option to repair this application but none to update it. I have added an attachment so you can see by yourself.

The application is free but I am wondering if it could be possible that some restrictions apply...

Hi Christophe,

As soon as ServiceNow release new update in store it should be available in your instance. Can you open the application again and see if new version is loaded and can update it?

Also you can login to store and check "Manage Entitlements" for this application and see if the instance you are working on is listed for entitlement.
