What CI Class are you all using for LAN Wireless Controllers?

I would like to hear from everybody which OOB CI Class they are using for Cisco Wireless LAN controllers.

I know you can create a custom child class, but that seems to involve changing probes/patterns and I am not there yet knowledge wise.  We are trying to keep things as close to OOB as possible.

Thank you all.

Hi, I noticed the same but this is closest what ServiceNow suggests to use. In mentioned KB there is a link to doc site; if to scroll down there, you will see CI relationships where WAP is controlled by cmdb_ci_ip_switch. As per my understanding, the "network switch" is just L2 device without a possibility to control WAPs, for me this is rather WLC in this context.

Another example - this KB about unavailability to discover Wireless Controllers; it points to Network Switch pattern where CI type is cmdb_ci_ip_switch ...

Hope it helps

I updated my Discovery patterns and found that the Network Switch pattern now has an extension for WAP's and builds relationships between cmdb_ci_ip_switch and cmdb_ci_wap.

So in this context, IP Switch is my answer.  Thank you all for the assistance!
