what is em_batch_map?

What is the em_batch_map table?
It appears to be cleaned up in the "Event Management - clean batch map" job.

If I change the rotation of the em_event table (increase the retention period), do I need to be aware of this cleanup job as well?

good question!

Unfortunately, I could not find anything about the table em_batch_map, so I guess it is more for background tasks and responsibilities. Therefore, it's better to raise that question with ServiceNow (for example as a support ticket) to hopefully get that question routed to the product team of the Event Management module.
