When Server is Discovered, Operational status changes to Operational from Non-Operational is the OOB or custom rule?

I created CI and mentioned operational status to NON- Operational.

When Service-Now discovered successfully, this status should be change to Operational. so i can consider discover is working. i want to do this setup ..so please help

Prabu,

If that is your goal to see that discovery is working there are many, many more OOB methods to see that discovery is working. Including

- Discovery status records showing that the CI is updated

- Most recent discovery date is current to the last discovery scan

- Discovery Source is servicenow

- Audit history showing attributes being created/updated to the last discovery scan

you can use a BR so when the midserver role updates a record that it sets that status. But you don't need to that to see discovery is working, you can just look at the most recent discovery attribute..
