Access to add work notes on published knowledge articles

Once knowledge article published then work notes on knowledge article is hidden. I would like to give access to add work notes for specific roles/users after knowledge article is published.

There is option for the end users to comment on the articles from Portal.

are they not able to add comments as per image shared by Omkar?

Did you check the field level READ ACL?

Knowledge Management Advanced plugin installed in my instance. After plugin installed, all fields on knowledge article form in classic view greyed out (all fields are in read-only) and custom work notes field is hidden.

 

I didnt found any read ACL related to work notes.
