Hi Community,
I am a fresher working in ServiceNow DEV. I created a catalog item named Laptop Request and an Update Set named Laptop_request_Dev_1, which is currently in progress.
While observing an existing catalog item (Mobile Request, inactive, created by someone else), I accidentally created a variable in that catalog item. Because my Laptop_request_Dev_1 Update Set was active(in progress), this variable got captured in my update set.
I have already deleted the variable from the catalog item in DEV.
My question:
Can I safely delete the corresponding record from the Update Set as well? Is there any risk of issues when I promote this update set to higher environments?
Thanks in advance for your guidance!

Hi @ChK85808602
Remove the record from the Update Set. Since the variable was created by mistake and is not part of your requirement and keep only the intended Laptop Request changes in your Update Set.

Yes, you can first delete the incorrect variable which you have created and then you can delete record from your update set. There is no issue in deleting the incorrect customer updates.
