Adding 1 Change record to multiple Stories

Good Day, 

Wanted to find out if anyone else has experienced this or know how we can solve it.

We have a scenario where we work on multiple stories that could relate to a single change, now there is a related list on the story from where we can add the change number so that it is linked to the story.

The problem we have faced is that we are unable to add one change number to multiple stories, if we add the number to the 1st one and then add it to the 2nd one it removes it from the 1st one.

this is by design as "Parent" field on CHG holds only 1 rm_story as it's a reference field.

So when you add Parent of CHG as Story and when you add another one, the earlier parent field gets cleared

I want to still see a few more responses to this as i am still looking at a workaround as we have case where we would need to link 1 change record to multiple stories.
