Hello,
We have a catalog item where users can request help to set up AV equipment in a teaching room. We have added the "Additional assignee list" field to the catalog task that is part of the workflow (90% of the time these types of requests go to a dedicated AV-Support Group but sometimes the task has to be assigned to someone outside of the team).
With this in mind is there a way of triggering a notification to anyone who has been added to the additional assignee list? Is there a way of doing this? I suspect I can add something to the advanced script section or are there alternative solutions?
Thanks in advance
David

Hey @davidsmith,
It sounds like you should create a separate SCTASK for these assignees as they seem like a 'different' set of work.
Is there a reason why you want to use a single SCTASK?
Cheers

Hi @James Chun
I think we had thought of just utilising the existing SCTASK but I like the idea of having a separate SCTASK.
Cheers

Yup, this will be a better practice for several reasons:
- Clear ownership/accountability of task
- Better reporting
- OLA/SLA
There are a lot more but just a few that I can think of at the moment 🙂

Hi @davidsmith
Adding another assign to fields in same task is not a good use case, better to create a new task for same. Also having 2 assigned to in same task will impact the SLA as well.
