Hello Vasavi,

For these type of requests, You should contact with your ServiceNow instance account manager who can guide you based on your instance capacity and usage and what would be the limitations/impact if you reduce the size of overall instance. Also you may raise the HI ticket and they can guide you further steps.

Hope it helps.

Hi,

Few things that help is deletion of transition data, eg logs or any intermediate data stored that is not used  anywhere.

For the ticket data it will depends on your organization's retention policy, if that permits then you might be able to delete old data as well but be sure to send out email communications for teams that might wan to take a backup.

Another way companies do this is by creating a data dump in some reporting tool and then deleting data from snow. But make sure you are complaint by the organization's policy before taking any such step.

And finally, you can take a look at the data and check if you can reduce the tickets getting created, some places have just unnecessary tickets getting created(by automation/events) with huge attachments etc, all this contributes to huge DB consumption and no one really bothers to check these tickets even, so you can look to make any change in reducing the tickets from being created in the first place.

Yes, is there a place where we can see total current storage usage with any kind of breakdown?
