CAB definition information don't replicate on CAB meeting

Hello everyone,

 

We tried to implement the CAB management for the change management team in our company but we faced an issue.

When we created a CAB definition, filled fields like “CAB manager”, “Board groups”, “Board Members” or even the “Change request addition conditions” in the Agenda Management section, it didn’t replicate on the CAB Meetings created after and even when we used the UI Action “Refresh CAB Meetings” it didn’t copied the informations from the CAB Definition to the CAB Meetings.

 

We also tried it on a fresh developer instance in ServiceNow Developpers and we got the same result, here some screenshots to illustrate what we did:

 

  1. First we created the CAB Definition (fresh developer instance without any customizations)

  2. We created a CAB Meeting linked to the previously created CAB definition

As you can see no informations from the CAB definition were retrieved on the CAB meeting, but from what we understood in the documentation is that IT WAS the purpose of a cab definition to gain time and nor re-enter all the informations every time.

 

Does anyone knows what are we missing here ?

I tried the same steps you mentioned in my PDI, and it is working as expected. What I can suggest is to try repairing the CAB workbench plugin once and then test again. Sometimes, if the plugin isn't fully loaded, it can cause issues with functionality.

Thanks for your response, as explained by my colleague, we tried it on a fresh developper instance/fresh pdi, I just repaired the plugin CAB workbench on this instance and the problem still continue to occur.
