Is integrated cam is necessary to write the exam or inbuilt cam from lapi is sufficient..

I want to write exam online could you please also let me know the precautions i have to take...

external camera was required with the legacy exam platform (Webassessor) for sure, but I don't know for Pearson onVUE (new exam platform after 18th Nov 2025), I have taken my exam at the test centre but let's hope that somebody who took it online can answer you this question.

Yes, that’s correct. Let me share a few important insights about the Pearson online test.

@pendurthi — If you have registered for the online (proctored) version, please ensure you have a government-issued ID proof with you. The ID must be original, and the name on the ID should exactly match the name used during exam registration. Any mismatch can lead to disqualification/rescheduling.

Regarding the camera:
Unlike Webassessor, Pearson does not require an external webcam. A good-quality built-in laptop camera is sufficient. However, make sure the camera is working properly before the exam.

Also, internet connectivity is critical. A stable and strong internet connection plays a major role throughout the test. If you face technical issues before the exam, Pearson support usually helps with rescheduling. However, if something goes wrong during the exam, the responsibility lies with the candidate.

If you are unsure about your internet stability or system setup, I would strongly recommend taking the exam at a Pearson test center to avoid any risk.

NOTE: before taking the exam, you will have an option to test your system take it before actual test

Government issued id was required in web assessor as well, I took many exam online n they always required government issued id only so technically there is no change in this direction.
