Can i make a forward email with watermark update record in one table and insert in another table

I have a use case where customer wants forward emails with watermark

to update a record

But this should not impact forward inbounds for other table

I found this can be fixed by updating email properties, but this will impact every table which i dont want

Is it possible for Forwarded emails to be treated as a reply Email and look up an existing record ? ...
