Can we change the Created BY User field in reports

Can we change the Created BY User field in reports. If we update the field will there any effects on anything.

No, you can't update this field. If "created by" should change, you need to create a copy of the report and save it.

Actually, on reports we do have other field called 'Created By User'.

WHat do you mean by change ?

If you change at dictionary level, it should be fine

I just want to change the ownership of the report. If we create a report then under My reports the report which we created will be visible. Here the case is the person who created the report was left the company. so, I updated the "Created By User" field with the help of background scripts. Now, the updated user can able to see the report under My reports. Apart from this do we have any impant on anything?
