Catalog - How to set the use of a cart

Hello,

We are in the process of creating a new service catalog.

Everything is running fine, but I am still battling in order to understand how to use the "2 steps" Cart.

We have another catalog using this cart, and it seems that the cart execution is related to a special field on each article, as a "true/false" value. Once set to true on an article, the request process will display the cart.

I'd like to be able to understand which "process" is calling this value as true/false, in order to create a new field.

Thank you,

Regards,

Julian

Hello,

Thank you for your answer.

Unfortunately, unchecking "Use cart layout" is not changing anything.

I also tried to use "cart" reference field, but I don't get what it does reference to.

We have multiple catalogs. I guess we are not the only ones

Some are using the "normal" checkout, creating a REQ and RITMs when checking out the cart. Let's call them "CatA", "CatB" and "CatC".

One is using the "two-steps" checkout process, allowing to add infos like delivery address, etc... We created a field (true/false) related to this catalog. Let's call it "CatD", and "fieldD".

We created a new catalog, and we are looking for getting it to use the "two-steps" checkout process. Let's call it "CatE"

If I check the created field "fieldD" on a field of this new catalog "CatE", the "two-steps" checkout process is then applied.

So yes, it would be a "workaround", but as this "fieldD" name is quite related to the catalog "CatD" name, it's not really practical. Plus it would be nice to understand how it does actually work
