Child incident related list not visible in archive incident record

I have created archive rule on incident table which is working absolutely fine, now i having problem to show child incident related list which is not visible.

 

Appreciate if anyone can help on this.

Hey @Vinay Chaurasia,

By default, archiving a parent incident does not automatically archive related child incidents unless separate archive rules or dependent archival logic are configured.

 

What typically happens:

  • Parent incident moves to the archive table

  • Child incidents may still remain in the live incident table

  • Since the parent record no longer exists in the live table, the parent-child relationship may no longer appear correctly in related lists

Create a separate archive rule for child incidents as well.

ConditionParent is not empty AND parent matches archive criteria

This helps ensure both parent and child incidents are archived consistently.

Check this Servicenow Documentation : Archive related records  and ensure Archive rule for Related list is properly configured at your end.

Both parent and child tickets archived but relationship is missing and I don't have any option to show tab like in attached image

Hi @Vinay Chaurasia ,

 

This is unfortunately the limitation of archive tables, however while archiving the records you have options to retain references and that can help you to identify all the related records.
