Is it possible for a configuration item to have multiple addresses? Would I have to setup a CI for each IP address?

Unless you are coalescing on IP, there's no particular reason why you can't have multiple concurrent IPs per CI - but it would require some thoughtful design and modification of the form, which would not typically be recommended. I'm curious what the item in question is- is this the kind of case where you could have a parent CI and handle the components with unique IPs as unique CIs which are then related to the parent?

The simple answer is Yes you can have multiple IP addresses tied to each CI. There is an IP address field on the CI form for the CI's primary address. Each additional address can be kept in a related list called "CI IPs". I have attached a screenshot below of an example include IPv4 addresses and IPv6. Hope this helps.

The only problem with using CI IP's (certainly for us) is that there is no explicit relationship back to the parent CI.
