Our CMDB manager currently has the cmdb_admin, discovery_admin, and itil_admin roles but seems to continually request the need for more development or custom roles to be able to perform CMDB maintaince without having the admin role. I have listed a few recent requests for access below:
- Ability to run and see results from Identification Simulation
- Need to be able to run the health metric jobs in each environment
- Need access to add/modify/remove CMDB Health Scorecard Group Thresholds
- The CMDB Manager should be able to create and execute Data Certs and assign them to users (ie: Support Group, Supported By, Assigned To, etc). The user should be able to receive and view the task as well as complete the function of marking the respective fields as Pass or Fail. This should be accomplished without giving users Data Cert Admin privileges
- As the CMDB & Asset Managers being the stewards of the data - we need the ability to reconcile abnormalities in the CMDB that occur in error, as well as the ability to run a quick discovery when reconciling duplicate CI's
How do other organziations handle their platform maintaince vs. their CMDB maintaince?

you can give them delegated development roles for only above listed functions.
