ITSM SIMULATOR, HELP!!
Maintenance and blackout schedules should be defined and available in the system so that change requesters understand when a change can be implemented and when they should not be implemented.
1. Create a maintenance schedule named: "Data Center - Maintenance Weekend Schedule".
a) Should be applied to all "Network", "Unix Server", and "Linux Server" CI classes.
b) Create a schedule entry for all day, every Monday (repeating weekly) until the end of the year as part of this schedule.
2. Create a blackout schedule named: "Monthly Freeze/Blackout Period".
a) Should be applied to all CI classes.
b) Create a schedule entry for every 3rd Thursday of each month (repeating monthly), until the end of the year as part of this blackout schedule.
Can someone point out what's wrong here???

Your maintenance schedule is right (when you validate the task, you will see that it only throws one error for the blackout schedule).
You can see that the Schedule Entry you currently have is incorrect by going to the "Show Schedule" link on the Blackout Schedule. You are currently repeating the meeting every 3rd Thursday (not the 3rd Thursday of every month). The labelling is not very intuitive, and it took me a while to realise the answer as well. You want to;
1) Set the "When" as the 3rd Thursday of the current month
2) Set "Repeats" as monthly
3) Set "Repeat every" as 1 month
4) Finally (and this is the slightly confusing part), set the "Monthly Type" to Day of the Week. I only realised this was the answer by looking at the options;
- Day of the Month - This would set it to the 18th of each Month (the 3rd Thursday of March 2021 is the 18th)
- Last day of the Month - Obviously not this
- Last week day of the Month - Obviously not this
Day of the Week takes the day you have selected (a Thursday), and also which Thursday in the month (in this case the 3rd), and then knows what day to select each month because you have repeated it monthly.
You will see you have done it correctly as it shows an on screen banner stating the logic once you have selected your options.

I am also stuck on the same schedule.
I believe the Monthly Freeze/Blackout Maintenance is correct, as well the schedule as indicated above, however not able to pass this, with recommendation "Recommendations: Please validate the Monthly Freeze/Blackout Period maintenance schedule was created correctly. Are a..."
Any points in the right direction are appreciated.

Hello, my reply might be late but here is what i believe could be the solution for the Create a blackout schedule named: "Create a blackout schedule named: "Monthly Freeze/Blackout Period"..
1) Navigate to All > blackout > Schedules > Blackout Schedules
2) Create a new record by selecting New from the Blackout Schedules list
3) Give your record a name: "Monthly Freeze/Blackout Period" and select the CI Class from the source. You can either right click to save to stay on the same page or click on submit to exit that page, which in this case you will have to come back to.
4) On the related links, select new on the Schedule Entries and give it a name such as Blackout Period, select repeat monthly, on month type select day of the week; repeat until 2023-12-31, on the When, open the calendar icon close to the date an choose the third Thursday of the month and do not select the All day check box. Hope this work for you. It worked on my side.
