Configuring email Using own Address or Domain not working in geneva

Hi

I am configuring email for the customer. As per the requirement, service now smtp account will be used for sending account but the email address should look like it is sent from customer email domain. Hence I am referring to the section 'Standard Email Configuration Using Your Own Address or Domain', for the wiki link for email configuration.

As per that i   have updated custom email address in sys property, 'glide.email.user' and set the label in 'glide.email.username'.

However the emails are still going out with 'instance@service-now.com' email id. Is there any other configuration which i am missing ?. This is in Geneva version.

Surprisingly, I have followed the same procedure in Fuji version instance and it worked!!.

Regards

Uday

I had this same issue in Geneva.   What happened in Geneva is that the 'Email Account' plugin is enabled by default.   This means that the old email properties are not used.   You need to use the Email Account records to configure your domain.   Only one SMTP record can be active, so I deactivated the standard SMTP record and created my own record with our domain in the username field.   Here is a link to the Geneva Email config page for more info:   Email configuration
