Contextual search is not working as expected based on keyword.

We have a record producer which will create a change request. For this, I have short description field, and contextual search has to be enabled. Here we need it for "Knowledge, Pinned, Catalog, SocialQA " and we have created a searcher for the same but the issue is when I enter mouse as a key word it is correctly showing the catalog item but when I search as I need a mouse then it is not showing me the catalog item instead showing some other articles where I can see mouse as a key word. Here my requirement is not to restrict only for catalog items but I need a mouse means it has to be request show catalog item has to be displayed. How to get it. Please suggest.

Thank you,

Shilpa B

Hi,

Thank you for responding. Here in the first image, you can see, I need a laptop is showing correct catalog item as hardware request. But if I type as I want a laptop then it should show up the same hardware request form, but it is not showing it. But showing some other things where laptop as a keyword included in that.

Can you suggest me how to get the correct catalog item?

Thank you,

Shilpa B

Hi @Shilpa451

Tough to say what’s blocking it, as only one word is changing from 'need' to 'want.' It could be a cache issue, or you might need to add more metadata to the catalog item. Otherwise, consider logging a Now Support case.
