Mid Server is mostly (almost 100%) used when LDAP comes into picture as most of the time customer has AD in their private network

Hi @venkram
MID Server is mandatory for LDAP integrations if your Active Directory (AD) is installed within the internal network and is not accessible from the internet.
So, there are no pros and cons in this scenario.

Sorry for the delay in response. Practically speaking, the MID server is required for integration because it acts like a bridge, enabling secure communication between the instance and external systems, such as pulling data from a customer instance to ServiceNow (SN). The benefit is that it provides a secure environment, allowing only authorized access, which is also recommended by SN. On the other hand, the absence of a MID server could pose security risks.
